TB Lowtone is a sophisticated bass synthesizer application and AUv3 / IAA plug-in that stands out for its cutting-edge features. It boasts three analog-simulated, voltage-controlled oscillators with a diverse range of waveform algorithms, continuous pulse-width modulation (PWM), Frequency Modulation (FM), and oscillator hard sync. Additionally, it includes a voltage-controlled noise synthesizer, parameter modulation, and a re-designed non-linear voltage controlled filter.

One of TB Lowtone's standout features is its implementation of loudness-domain harmonic synthesis. This innovative approach results in deeper, more consistent, and production-ready bass sounds compared to traditional synthesizers that operate in the (linear) amplitude domain.

The app also incorporates a handy smart randomizer that effortlessly generates new patches with a single click. Notably, this feature learns from your existing patches to create personalized new patches.

Loudness-domain synthesis is pivotal to TB Lowtone's functionality. By employing innovative algorithms that adjust each harmonic individually, this feature mitigates inconsistencies in loudness and timbre caused by the complex relationship between frequency and loudness perception.

Modulation and effects are another area where TB Lowtone shines. It offers two extended low-frequency oscillators (X-LFOs) with a wide array of waveforms. These LFOs can be synchronized to beats and keys, with options for configurable onset delay and cycles to run. Furthermore, users have access to a conventional ADSR envelope with configurable onset delay and a gate editor tailored for modern production modulation patterns.

The app comes equipped with professional-quality effects such as reverb, chorus, delay effects, and a high-quality peak limiter to aid in creating polished sounds suitable for production.

<li>Inter-App Audio (IAA) limitation: Only one instance of the app can be used simultaneously. For multiple instances, we recommend using an AUv3 host.</li>
